RACING Khanate Takes Hunt Cup Easily

Khanate, a gelding from Cambridge, scored an easy win in the £2OOO Pakuranga Hunt Cup, first leg of the T.A.B. double at the Pakuranga Hunt’s meeting at Ellerslie on Saturday.
Khanate led for the last seven furlongs and won by nine lengths from Prince Sylvan.
The second leg of the double, the Jellicoe Handicap, went to the Takanini mare, Rainfall. The double dividend for £1 was £6O 15s 6d. The weather was fine but overcast, and the track heavy. Results:
