Mrs D. Archer presided over a good attendance of delegates from North Canterbury branches at a recent meeting of the Women’s Division of the Federated Farmers in Rangiora. Congratulations were extended to Miss Jean Smith, who was elected South Island vice-president at the Dominion conference, and to Mrs E. Chapman, of Belfast, on her knitting success in the Wool Board competitions. Mrs J. Daiziel and Miss E. Smith were also successful. Members were invited to attend a garden party at Melrose Rest Home in Nelson on October 29.
