Had Indecent Photographs

AUCKLAND, Aug. 28.

Charged with unlawfully importing indecent photographs, Willi Karl Ludwig Manthey, of Kawerau, was fined £2O by Mr C. E. H. Pledger, S.M. For the Collector of Customs, Mr J. Miles said Customs officers at Auckland found 60 indecent photographs wrapped in a paper parcel in Manthey’s luggage. Manthey had said he got the photographs in Hong Kong and later flew to Germany where he meant to give them to a friend but had forgotten.
