Cycling Title To Dutchman

(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) ADENAU (Germany).

E. Dolman, of the Netherlands, won the amateur road race of the 1966 world cycling championships. He is the first Dutchman to win since 1956.

L. West, of Britain, a surprise contender who had trained in Holland this year, finished second in the gruelling test of about 115 miles on the Neurburgring grand prix motor-rac-ing circuit. A Danish entry, W. Skibby, was third.

A crowd of about 30,000 cheered the two top men, who had broken away from the field in the second of the eight laps.

Dolman and West were credited with the same time—4hr 59min 43sec.
