Winter Shield To Canterbury

AUCKLAND. Canterbury University won the New Zealand Universities winter tournament shield with a ski ing victory. Auckland had held a narrow lead in the shield placings. but Canterbury's ski-ing win gave it a three-point victory. Auckland was second and Otago third. Final shield points were Canterbury 59. Auckland 56. Otago 47, Victoria 36.
