TO MISS REPLAY
Frost Not Available The strong man in the Western defence. P. Frost, will miss his club’s South Island Chatham Cup replay against St. Kilda (Dunedin) at English Park today. Frost has been unable to get time off work and his place at centre-half will be taken by D. Almond, who played at outsideright on Saturday. However. Western is hopeful that its Canterbury representative, T. Haydon, who was unable to play in the first match because of sickness, will be available for the replay. St. Kilda may be able to call on the former Western player. B. Smith, who was carried off on a stretcher eight minutes before the end of ordinary time on Saturday. Smith injured his neck in a goalmouth collision and was taken to hospital. He stayed overnight for observation and after an X-ray examination yesterday morning, was discharged. The St. Kilda players, who had planned to return to Dunedin on Saturday night, had to extend their stay over the weekend. The replay will start at 2.45 p.m.
