Southbridge Wins Play-off Southbridge won the senior Ellesmere Rugby competition on Saturday when it beat Irwell, 11-8, in a special play-off. Both teams were level with 20 points each when the competition finished. Other results were: Representative. Ellesmere B 17, Canterbury Juniors 16. Junior Grade.—Southbridge 11, Kirwee 9: Lincoln 22, Dunsandel 8; Waihora 10, Irwell 0. Grade won by Lincoln. Third Grade.—Leeston 14, Black Diamonds 6; Sheffield 6, Springston 3: Peninsula 9, Southbridge 6; Lincoln 14, Waihora 9. Fourth Grade.—Darfield 5, Lincoln 3. Grade won by Darfield. Fifth Grade.—Section play-off: Waihora 29, Kirwee 0. Grade won by Waihora.
