Fire Damages Machinery
(N.Z. Press Association) HAMILTON, Aug. 21. Fire destroyed the bottom floor of A. M. Bisley and Company’ Ltd.’s two-storey building in Ward street, Hamilton, early yesterday morning. Unofficial estimates of the damage run into tens of thousands of pounds. Mr A. Bisley said the building. which was fully‘insured, would probably have to be demolished. The fire, which is believed to have started in the switchboard, was confined mostly to the shop and offices. The major loss was showroom machinery.
