Export Lambs Contest The export lamb competition held in North Canterbury by the Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Association in conjunction with the Meat Producers’ Board will be held this year on November 3. This is much earlier than before and reflects the trend towards earlier lamb, production. At a meeting this week between the association and representatives of local freezing companies it was strongly recommended that the competition should be held earlier. It was considered that lambs would be at their peak in early November. This year’s contest will be held at the Kaiapoi works of the North Canterbury Sheepfarmers’ Co-operative Freezing Company.
