Aunt Edith Wins Stakes
(NZ.P. A.-Reuter) ASCOT HEATH. Aunt Edith, ridden by L. Piggott and owned by LieutenantColonel J. Hornung, won the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes, run over one mile and a half at Ascot on Saturday. R. J. Slgtla’s Sodium, ridden by F. Durr, was second, and J. R. Mullion’s Prominer, ridden by the Australian, D. Lake, third of five runners. Official starting prices were: 7/2 Aunt Edith, 6/4 favourite Sodium, 4/1 Prominer.
