Harrison Fund
Donations to the John Harrison Memorial Fund are £15,660. The national appeal closed on Saturday. At the week-end “The Press” received £217, making £6222 since the appeal opened about three weeks ago. Donations received by “The Press” included £65 12s 6d from New Brighton shop owners and assistants, £3l Is from the North Canterbury Ski Club, £2O 16s from the staff and management of Port Freighters, Ltd., £2O from the staff of J. Ballantyne and Company, Ltd., and £lO 10s from the Nelson Ski Club. There was one anonymous donation of £25 and one of £lO. One of the trustees received a donation of £6 12s 7d from staff at Aulsebrook and Company, Ltd.
