Callaghan Confident
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright) LONDON, July 12. The Chancellor of the Exchequer, Mr James Callaghan, forecast today that Britain would move into a balance-Of-pay--ments surplus next year. But he avoided answering demands in the House of Commons for more drastic and immediate action to bolster the economy and strengthen sterling. Mr Callaghan faced intense probing in the Commons as pressure on the £ continued and speculation persisted that he would have to take early new disinflationary measures.
