Swimmers “Too Fat”

(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) MELBOURNE. Two Victorian girl swimmers in the Australian Empire Games team have been declared too fat and have been given two weeks in which to lose 51b each. They are Heather Saville 17. the Australian 100 and 200 metres breaststroke ehampion, and Marion Smith, 17. the Victorian 100, 200 and 400 metres freestyle champion. Too many ice creams and sweets while at the training camp in Ingham, Northern Queensland, have been blamed for the girls being almost half-a-stone overweight. Now that they are back home their mothers have assumed strict control over their diets.
