Winters Road Closure

Ministry of Works plans for a new road, linking Winters road and Cranford street, were approved by the Waimairi County Council at its monthly meeting last night. The link, the ministry explained, would be needed because no provision was made, in the Main North road reconstruction, for a break in the median strip at the Winters road junction. The City Council would be asked to close Winters road at the junction. The council decided to ask the ministry to extend the kerb in Cranford street so as to form a safety zone.
