Committees At Ports
Port conciliation committees for Lyttelton, Picton and Oarnaru are appointed in the latest issue of the Gazette. The committees are:— Lyttelton: Chairman, Mr R. H. Duff: deputy chairman, Mr A. L. Burk: members nominated by the New Zealand Port Employers’ Association, Messrs A. P. Gale, J. J. Griffiths, P. J. Howe, and J. Twomey; members nominated by the Lyttelton Waterfront Workers' Union, Messrs D. E. L. Threadwell, J. S. Hughes, R. J. Wasley, and R. K. Fergus.
Picton: Chairman, Mr G. Lyon: members nominated by the Port Employers’ Association, Messrs T. R. Harrison, R. Vernon, and T. B. Madsen; nominated by the Picton Waterfront Workers’ Union, Messrs R. A. Rockliff, A. D. Gibb, and F. N. Burns. Oarnaru: Chairman, Mr M. F. E. Cooney; deputy chairman, Mr T. V. Harris: members nominated by the Port Employers’ Association, Messrs R. A. Kearns, S. P. McDouall, and A. H. Main; nominated by the Oarnaru Waterfront Workers’ Union, Messrs H. F. Hamilton, P. N. McNamara, and W. J. S. Miernicki.
