(N.Z. Preet Association) INVERCARGILL. S. E. N. Smith, skip of the Deaf Welfare Chib four from Auckland, won his second national fours title in four years when he captured the New Zealand indoor bowls championship in Invercargill on Saturday. Smith, ably supported by his three team mates. Mrs K. Smith, F. Bell and B. Pridham, beat L, Bellis (skip), Mrs M. Bellis, J. Tackney, and Mrs J. Tackney from tbe Grey Main Club, Greymouth. 17-11, In the final. Results:—
Quarter-finals. S. Perriam (Southland) beat M. G. Kirk (Bay of Plenty), »-4; S. E. N. Smith (Auckland) beat W. Whyte (Central Otago), •-»; L. Bellis (Greymouth) beat J. Duncan (Canterbury), 9-4; W. Waters (Southland) beat V. Parlane (Auckland), 7-6. Semi-finals.—L. Bellis beat W. Waters. 9-8; S. E. N. Smith beat S. Perriam, 19-4.
