(N.Z. Press Association) BRISBANE. A racehorse bit off the top of his trainer's right thumb is Brisbane yesterday. The trainer, J. Watson, was bitten by Te Rapa, wellknown to Brisbane racegoers. Te Rapa began playing up after a track gallop at Eagle Farm at 5.30 a.m. Watson held out a bunch of grass to the horse, which took it and also the top of his thumb. An ambulance took Watson to Brisbane Hospital. He later went home.
