BROKEN ANKLE
The 1965 Canterbury Rugby League representative, D. W. Cockroft (Christchurch), broke his ankle 15 minutes before the end of the match against Addington on Saturday. Cockroft was playing in only his third game after recovering from a previous injury. He played against Auckland as a centre at Carlaw Park last season and came on as a replacement wing against Waikato at Huntly.
