A. R. Tomlinson has justified his selection for the New Zealad table tennis team to Australia if further justification were needed, by winning the Auckland closed championship. After losing the first set, 24-26, he proved too strong on attack and won the next three sets, 21-14, 21-8. 21-10. With T. A. Quinn, he won the men’s doubles and with Miss B. Packwood the mixed doubles.
