Kindergartens’ Ball

About 350 persons attended a joint ball held by the McKenzie and Fendalton kindergartens at the Brevet Club on Friday evening. Guests, who included Mr J. H. Dawson and Mrs Dawson representing the Kindergarten Council, were received by the president of the Fendalton kindergarten, Mr P. Connell and Mrs Connell; and the president of the McKenzie kindergarten, Mrs C. Murphy and Mr Murphy. Mrs Dawson wore a red satin gown with a boat neckline. A press of royal blue delustered sation with a bell-shaped skirt and a Dior rose trim at the back was worn by Mrs Connell. Mrs Murphy wore a royal blue printed French chiffon Empire-line gown. The skirt featured deep folds falling from the front and back.
