Graveney’s Late Bid

Graveney made a further bid for selection for next Thursday’s second test against the West Indies when he hit a superb 88 in 110 minutes for Worcestershire against Middlesex on Saturday. Graveney, who will be 39 the day the test starts, hit 13 boundaries and shared a four-wicket stand of 79 in 45 minutes with the coloured South African, B. D'Oliveira.
