Youth Seriously Hurt

When his car overturned on the AkaroaChristchurch highway at Motukarara early yesterday a youth suffered serious head injuries.

He is Nigel Alexander Nutt, a farmer, of McQueens vallev, Motukarara, who was admitted to the recovery ward of Christchurch Hospital. His condition was reported to be fair and he was still unconscious. No-one saw the accident which is believed to have happened about 5 a.m. The car was badly damaged on the right side. Seriously Injured.—An Indian university student from Fiji suffered serious head injuries when he fell from a motor-scooter on the Summit road, near the Sign of the Kiwi, at 12.24 p.m. on Saturday. He is Hurenda Krisanin, of 363 Montreal street. 'He was admitted to the recovery ward of Christchurch Hospital, but was later transferred to Princess Margaret Hospital where his condition was reported last evening as fair. Pedestrian Struck.—Mark Doyle, of 23 Wrights road, was treated at Christchurch Hospital for head injuries after he was hit by a car at the corner of Lincoln and Wrights roads about 6.30 pan. on Saturday.

Admitted To Hospital.— Head injuries were suffered by Isabel Chasten, of 21 Denver street, when two cars collided at the corner of St. Asaph and Montreal streets about 7.20 p.m. on Saturday. She was admitted to Princess Margaret Hospital. Two Injured.—Marie Milligan, of 143 Tedder avenue, was admitted to Princess Margaret Hospital with head injuries after two cars collided at the corner of Worcester and Barbadoes streets about 12.20 a.m. yesterday. Lynette Barrie, of 63 Marlow road, was treated at Christchurch Hospital for head injuries. Concertina Collision.— Three cars travelling towards the city on Harewood road were involved in a concertina collision near Papanui road about 5.20 p.m. yesterday. Noreen Leary, of 34 Landy street, was admitted to Christchurch Hospital with head and chest injuries. Pauline Sagger, of 5 Primrose street, was treated for leg injuries.

Car Rolls Over.—Two cars collided on Harewood road, about a quarter of a mile east of McArthurs road, about 4 p.m. yesterday. One vehicle rolled over two or three times. Jill Sadler, of 34 Plynlimon road, and Robin Sinclair, of 29 Godley avenue, were admitted to Christchurch Hospital with head injuries. Allan Healey, of 10 Mattingley street, whose car

rolled over, was admitted to Princess Margaret Hospital, also with head injuries. Car Overturns.—Three persons were treated at Christchurch Hospital for abrasions and lacerations after a car overturned on Kennedys Bush road yesterday afternoon. They are John Craig, of 346 Riverlaw terrace, Marie Horgan, of 61 Wychbury street, and Wayne Lancaster, of 121 Dyers Pass road. Head Injuries.—Two persons were admitted to Princess Margaret Hospital with head injuries after a car struck a pole outside Burwood Park about 2.10 a.m. vesterday. They are Stephen Patrick Quirk, of 128 Lonsdale street, and Anthony Blackler, of 17 Union street. Facial Injuries. Graham Lewis Manson, of 5 Adrian place, was treated at the Christchurch Hospital for facial injuries after his motorscooter and a car collided on Marshland road, about 100 yards north of Shirley road, about 6.10 p.m. yesterdav.

Car Hits Pole.—When a car hit a pole in Moorhouse avenue outside the railway station about 9.23 p.m. yesterday, Edward Rehu Paniora of 7 Cunningham place, and Kav Lesley Paniora, aged nine, of the same address, suffered minor head injuries. They were treated at the Christchurch Hospital. ,
