Grandstand Collapses
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) CEDAR RAPIDS (Iowa), June 12. A section of a grandstand holding nearly 1000 people collapsed at a stock car race at Cedar Rapids last night, and 96 people were injured, two seriously. Fifty-one were taken to hospital, where two were admitted with compound fractures: 45 others were treated, mostly for bruises and sprains.
