Man Dragged By Unit

(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 12. A railway worker died on Saturday after an Upper Hutt-bound unit dragged him 10 yards between the platform and the moving train at Trentham railway station, according to the Press Association.

He was Mr D. Housham, aged 63, of Upper Hutt The accident occurred at 1.18 p.m. when Mr Housham tried to board the moving unit. An ambulance took him to Hutt Hospital but he was

later transferred to Wellington Hospital where he died. No-one on the train was aware of the accident and it continued to Upper Hutt without stopping. On Saturday night, Angi Nglam, aged 20, was in a car which rolled 50 feet over a cliff. He suffered concussion and was in a fair condition tonight. Yesterday morning his workmate, Errol Curry, aged 21, who was riding his motorcycle to the hospital to see Mr Nglam, fell from the machine and suffered back injuries. His condition last night was satisfactory.
