‘Clean Sweep ’ Bid
(N.Z. Press Assn. —Copyright) YONKERS. Cardigan Bay, the New Zealand pacer, will attempt an unprecedented “clean sweep” of the Yonkers Raceway 200,000dollar international pacing series on Friday (N.Z. time) when he runs in the 50,000-dollar National Championship Pace. Cardigan Bay won the
first two parts of the series when he captured the 100,000-dollar International Pace, and the 50,000-dollar Good Time Pace. The New Zealand pacer is 5/1 on favourite for Friday’s race, which has seven other entries. The other competitors were also in the Good Time Pace.
