(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. Matt Banovich, of West Australia, retained his Australian single darts title at the Lower Hutt yesterday. Banovich beat his fellow West Australian, J. Ranford, in the final by three games to two. In the semi-final Banovich eliminated R. Dyer, of New Zealand, and Ranford beat Rundle of South Australia, both in three successive games.

West Australia also dominated the teams’ event, winning comfortably from New South Wales, with New Zealand third.
