Mrs Rowe, who succeeds Mrs I. Fraser, will hold office for three years. Membership had reached 1008 and many branches had reported new members this year, said the retiring president (Mrs I. Fraser) in her report.

She reminded members of the classes for the Wool Board Competition and urged members to send in more entries this year. Mrs G. Beer reported that the chapel at Templeton would be opened in late April or early May. Miss J. Smith, of the Dorn inion executive, who chaired the meeting, told members that the Dominion executive had purchased new premises opposite the division headquarters in Wellington. This large two-storeyed property had three garages underneath which could be let at £1 a week each to pay the rates, she said.

The present rooms will be made into a club rooms, with overnight accommodation for about 10 people. Members and their families passing through Wellington could stay there, she said.
