COVERING TOUR
One of the most interested spectators at the last three matches of the Doshisha University Rugby team’s New Zealand tour has been Mr K. Taniguchi, who is associate sports editor of the Mainichi newspaper chain in Japan. Mr Taniguchi flew to New Zealand last week to cover the matches against Lincoln College, South Island Marist and the Invitation XV for the 18 newspapers in the Mainichi group. His brief visit served to illustrate the interest the tour has aroused in Japan.
