Three Rugby Deaths
(N.Z. P. A. -Reuter— Copy right t JOHANNESBURG. Rugby Union, the national winter sport of most South African men and schoolboys, has already taken three victims in the new season.
Playing at Phalaborwa, near Pretoria, the captain of a team, Bwan van Niekerk, aged 42, died minutes before halftime.
About two hours after a club game at Springs, a large mining town near Johannesburg, Mike Green .aged 24, complained of a pain in his chest. He died at his home before a doctor arrived.
At Noupoort, in the Cape Province, a match ended when Victor Swart, aged 26, died on the field.
