Moths Dominate Yacht Race

The Australian Moth Class, headed by local skippers, T. Blanchard, M. Sehvood and I. Scott, dominated the open race in the Waimakariri club’s Easter yachting regatta on Friday.

The scratch boat, R class Unique, was only two minutes away at the finish after giving the limit boats a 20minute start on the short three-lap course. In the class racing on Saturday afternoon the P Moth and R classes provided the best racing because of their numbers. Seiwood again showed out in the Moths while Unique led the R class fleet home, but not by such a large margin. The regatta will end with the class championships, due to begin at 9.30 a.m. this morning. V/eek-end results: — FRIDAY Open Class Handicap (37 started).—Reply, Moth (T.
