N.Z. Man Is Registrar Of Papua University

(N.Z. Prett A««n.— Copyright) BRISBANE, April 6. The secretary of the New Zealand University Grants Committee, Mr E. G. Kedgeley, was today appointed Registrar of the new University of Papua and New Guinea. Mr Kedgeley is a former Registrar of the University of New Zealand. Mr Kedgeley's appointment was announced in Brisbane

by the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Dr. John Gunther, after a two-day meeting of the university’s Interim Council. The university will be established on 1200 acres of land in June Valley, eight miles outside Port Moresby. About 120 students are expected to be enrolled by next year. Projected enrolments are 500 students by 1969 and 600 by 1970.
