BRIQUETTE FACTORY
Trial With New Coal Blend (From Our Own Reporter) WESTPORT, April 6. The briquette factory at Ngakawau will reopen on Tuesday to start producing what is expected to be a compact and generally better article than the one which was formerly marketed, and not so well received. Mr T. Brazil (acting superintendent of State mines) said that a mixture of Charleston and Stockton coal was to be tried, and only when the new type of briquette was considered really suitable would it be placed on the market. The briquettes will be temporarily stored on the area at Ngakawau from which much stacked coal has been taken in recent months.
