Guidance Rules Adopted (N.Z Preus Association f AUCKLAND, April 6 Guidelines to help the Auckland Education Board to decide applications for leave from teachers were placed before the board today. It adopted the following ; rules for guidance, drawn up because of recent criticism of board policy on leave: Favourable consideration should be given to application for leave for university study. , Favourable consideration might be given to applicants who desired leave to tour with amateur sporting groups or to represent or play a vital part in religious or cultural organisations. In the case of sport, this should be restricted to representatives of teams of provincial and national status but not approved in the case of individual club teams. I A general rule could be that leave would be declined for those teachers and students who were travelling as paid employees of any group or orgamsaI tian.
