Brackents for the opening day of the Canterbury Jockey Club’s autumn meeting at Riccarton on Easter Monday are: Opawa High-weight: Duplex and Star Quality; Gold Find and Gold Shower; Apparel and William David; Llanawyn and Cherokee Brave; Hesus and Big Boy; Cinnaman and Persian Sea. Courtenay Maiden Handicap: Chow Maine and Field Mistress; Langsdale and Kinara; Play Fairer and Porgie; Durable and Windvale Girl; Kai Bank and Bankwyn. Merivale Hack Handicap: Corsica and Town Talk; Dowmanca and Takatua. Great Easter Handicap: Shipmate and Pharasal. Papanui Eiack Handicap: Seeaysee and Side Saddle. Sun Bank, a winner at Rangiora last week, is now ineligible for the Courtenay Maiden, and Kai Bank, which was balloted out with right of re-entry, reenters the field.
