The Canterbury A representative team to play West Coast at Greymouth on Anzac Day will not be named until the first round of the senior competition on April 16. Messrs R. H. Duff and M. J. Dixon, last year’s Canterbury selectors, have been asked by the Canterbury Rugby Union to select the side. Yesterday Mr Duff said that until the selectors had seen prospective players in action in club Rugby a team could not be named.
