Passed In, Then Sold

A dairying and mixed cropping farm of 123 acres at Lakeside was sold immediately after being passed in at £28,290 at public auction yesterday. The property was offered on account of the estate of R. E. Cooper and Mrs M. E. Cooper by the New Zealand Farmers’ Co-op. Association, Ltd. The auctioneer was Mr C. S. Gibbs. Improvements include a three-bedroomej house, cowshed and dairy, implement sheds, hay and granary sheds, and a garage. The land, which has been in the Cooper family for three generations, is subdivided into eight paddocks.

The bidding started at £lBO an acre, and rose in £lO bids to £230 an acre before being passed in.
