SCHOOLBOY INJURED

WELLINGTON, March 22. A 14-year-old schoolboy was seriously injured today when he was hit by a goods train near Waikanae station. Peter Sorensen, of Ngaio road, Waikanae, was struck while crossing the railway line about 12.30 p.m. when returning to school after lunch.
He was taken to Wellington Hospital by ambulance. Tonight his condition was still serious.
