Open Pairs Tourney

A. Williamson (skip) and K. Collett won the first open pairs tournament held by the Canterbury Indoor Bowling Association. They defeated the pair skipped by L. Dunstan, 20-9, in the final. Williamson led all the way, being 7-1 ahead after only four ends. Twenty-six pairs qualified for post-section play from a field Of 80. Results:— Quarter-finals. —G. Jackson 9, N. Hocking 7; A.
