SCHOOLBOY KIWI
Return For Addington
The '1958 New Zealand Rugby League schoolboy Kiwi R. Green, will return from overseas to play for the Addington senior team this season.
Green, a utility forward, last played for Addington in 1961 when he was a member of the championship-winning senior reserve team. He has been overseas since Addington regained senior status. Another player returning to Addington is the second row forward. J R. Boyd, who was transferred to the Waikato last year. A regular member of the team before his transfer, he will strengthen the pack. G. R. Bladder has returned to Papanui after playing for two seasons on loan to Addington. The hooker, W. Sicluna, will miss the first few matches but may be available later.
Addington's three Kiwis, P. M. V. White, J. H. Fisher, and J. L. White, are in full training and the team is expected to fulfill the promise that was shown last season. It will again be one of the youngest teams in the competition.
