Enrolments At University
Enrolments at the University of Canterbury are expected to be close to the estimate of 4850. When the offices closed on Friday evening the total was 4675, but last year 180 late enrolments were received and a repetition of this would exceed the estimate. A comparison of enrolments last year and this year at the end of enrolling week is: Arts, 1640 (1965), 1790 (1966); science, 1094, 1153; law, 244, 273; commerce, 520, 551; music, 35, 47; engineering, 555, 626; fine arts, 175, 175; students on two courses, 58, 60. Total roll to 4321 (1965), 4675 (1966). Music enrolments do not include those toting music for an ants degree.
