TOP GHANA SOLDIER

ADDIS ABABA, Feb. 28.
Dr. Kwame Nkrumah’s top soldier has rallied to the new regime in Ghana and announced yeserday he was returning home to help the country’s leaders. Major-General Nathan Aferi, who was Chief of Defence Staff when a coup in Accra deposed President Nkrumah last Thursday, issued a statement saying: “A change in Government is something almost everybody in Ghana has looked forward to for some time now.”
He said he was not surprised at what had happened and was glad to be returning to Ghana to assist in the reconstruction work that lay ahead.
