B Grade Marksman Wins S.I. Belt

The South Island championship belt was won by a B grade marksman, R. McCosh (Christchurch), when the Canterbury Rifle Association fired the third day of its meeting at West Melton in gale force winds yesterday. I. R. Ballinger (Sydenham) won the three-day grand aggregate with 423 points. Sydenham won the South Island Watkinson shield with 530 points, and a composite Blenheim team was runnor-up with 521. Sydenham also won the coach-teams match, with 471 points. C. G. Lee (Queensland) was runner-up for the South Island belt, while E. Judson (East Christchurch) was run-ner-up in the B grade aggregate. The C grade aggregate was won by W. Nelson (Karori) with G. Bishop (Ashburton) runner-up.
