Shipping Reports
Sir, —In your sub-leader this morning you refer to a complaint made by Mr J. D. Bull at a meeting of the Canterbury Manufacturers’ Association. I would be very surprised if this complaint was made against “The Press.” Surely most members of the association, and the association itself, are subscribers to the “New Zealand Shipping Gazette” which is published each week. The difficulties in forecasting arrival dates are many, and not even official publications can do so with accuracy. You are to be congratulated for the up-to-the-minute service which you give.—Yours, etc., A.P. November 26, 1965.
