March To Be Guarded

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Nov. 25. A strong contingent of police will guard a march through Wellington on Saturday organised by the Wellington Committee on Vietnam.

Inspector B. R. Davies said today the police did not expect trouble. Inspector Davies and other senior police met members of the committee recently to plan security arrangements for the march. The marchers will walk from the Town Hall to Parliament Buildings in the afternoon as a protest against New Zealand’s policy on Vietnam.

The committee chairman. Mr Barry Mitcalfe. said that the march was part of an international campaign against the Vietnam war.
