AIRLIFT TO SINGAPORE

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Nov. 12. The largest peace-time airlift undertaken by the R.N - Z.A.F. will begin next week when more than 800 troops wives and families will be flown to Singapore in three Hercules aircraft and one DC6. Previously, DC6s were used for the airlift and took about 28 hours for the flight from Singapore to Auckland. The Hercules will make each flight in 18 hours.
