Candidates should have at least an honours degree (and preferably an M.Sc.) in physical or inorganic chemistry. The appointee will be required to share in the organisation and supervision of laboratory classes in physical and inorganic chemistry, mainly at the first and second year levels, and to give such lectures and tutorials in connexion with the laboratory work as may be required. He will have time, and will be encouraged, to carry out research and may present himself as a part-time candidate for a higher degree. The Department of Physical Chemistry has just occupied a new and well-equipped building.
