The Bridle Path

Sir, —1 endorse the comment of “Straight Talk” on Saturday’s “Bridle Path.” The spectator support of a good deal of F.E.I. jumping is in line with the standard produced generally—only the top 10 horses really have much spectator appeal and delays between events are deadly from a spectator’s point of view. Certainly entrants could perhaps use a little more judgment in entering partlytrained horses. There are a number of entries in hack classes which are hardly trained or in condition to be in hack classes, and lack of room would not affect the issue very much. I commend the equestrian sports and the endless pleasure to be had is not helped by comments which in my opinion lack qualified judgment of the many aspects involved.— Yours, etc. ENTHUSIAST.
