Two Girls Missing From Homes

The police are looking for two girls who are missing from their homes in Christchurch. one since October 25 and the other since October 31.

Lorraine Blakely, aged 14. has been missing from her home in Wainoni since October 25. She is sft 4in, of medium build, with light brown hair, fair complexion and hazel eyes. She has an attractive and tidy appearance, and was wearing, blue jeans, a blue blouse, short offwhite coat and jandals when she left home. Any person knowing her whereabouts is asked to get in touch with the nearest police station.

Lynette Craig, aged 17, is still missing from her home in Jeffreys road. Christchurch. She left home at 8.15 p.m. on Sunday without leaving a note.

Although all the police stations in the South Island have been given Miss Craig’s description and her family and relatives have driven hun-

dreds of miles around Christchurch, suburbs, and Banks Peninsula. Miss Craig has not been seen. “1 only want Lynette to get a message to us that she is safe and well,” said her mother, Mrs A. H. Craig. last evening. “Of course, we want her to come home, but we are worried almost out of our minds that something has happened to her—that she is ill, or has been injured.” Mrs Craig said that Lynette was sft 9in, slender, weighed about 9st, with natural ash blonde hair, fair complexion and blue eyes. "She has a strikingly attractive appearance—persons would remember if they had seen her. She was wearing a blue coat, with light-grey fur collar, floral blouse, green skirt and black shoes when she left home.

“She has never run away before. She is always in by the time she was asked to be in at nights. She works as a coat machinist, and has been a hanpy, good girl,” Mrs Craig said. Mrs Craig and her family and relatives from South Can-

terbury and Dunedin who are helping in the search, ask Lynette. or any other person knowing her whereabouts, to get in touch with them, telephone 515-296, Christchurch, as soon as possible. “If she is in some sort of scrape—we do not mind. We want to know she is well. We want her home—she will not be punished,” Mrs Craig said The Christchurch police

also appeal to any person knowing Miss Craig’s present whereabouts to get in touch with the nearest police station. Girl Found Diane Ross, aged 16. who had been missing from the Kingslea Centre. Shirley, since July 23, has been located in Dunedin. She is in good health, according to a police message.
