SOUTHLAND RUNNERS
Preparation At Winton “The Press” Special Service INVERCARGILL. i The trotters Le Chant and i Betty’s Song, Southland i runners in the first day of the New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club’s cup meeting, will travel to Christchurch on Sunday. Both will run in the Free-For-All at the Winton trials on Saturday. At Addington Le Chant will be driven by K. Balloch while Betty’s Song will be driven by M. A. Skinner, who is attached to A. W. Skinner’s stables at Hedgehope. Skinner will take three horses to Waikouaiti for the meeting there on Saturday . week. They are Hal’s Choice, Gay John and Lord Clifford. After an enforced spell of a couple of months, Donald j Dundee has come back into work with his Edendale owner, C. C. Scott The foot injury which caused Donald Dundee's lay off has now grown out of the hoof and is not causing him trouble.
