Net Profit Rises (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Nov. 3. New Zealand Industrial Gases, Ltd., Lower Hutt, had a net tax-paid profit for the year ended September 30 of £234,099, compared with £218,180 the previous year. The chairman of directors (Mr J. W. Sandtmann) announced this today. Tax and depreciation figures have not yet been announced. He said operations for the year had been most satisfactory. The 5i per cent preference dividend will require £9BOO (last year 4J per cent, requiring £8100), the 10 per cent ordinary dividend £lOO,OOO (last year 10 per cent, since when there has been a one-for-three bonus issue, making the latest dividend equivalent 13 1-3 per cent on the previous capital, requiring £75,000). Unappropriated profits carried forward will be £92,095 (£92,896). Final dividend of 6 per cent on ordinary share and 2} per cent on preference shares will be payable immediately after the annual meeting on December 17, and shares will be ex dividend on December 6.
McLeod Bros. Dividend.— McLeod Brothers, Dunedin rnanufacturer of soap, cosmetics, wooden cases and exporter of timber, recommends a final dividend of BJd or 7 1-12, ex dividend November 26. This makes a total dividend of 10 per cent on capital raised earlier this year by a one-for-four bonus Issue.—(P.A.)
Henderson and Pollard. — Interim dividend of Henderson and Pollard, Auckland timber merchants and joinery manufacturers, is a steady 4 per cent, payable December 8, ex dividend November 25. Total dividend last year was 8i per cent.—(P.A.)
